Department of Electronic Engineering

Founded in 1970, the department changed its name to the Department of Electronic Engineering in 2000, and in 2003, the Graduate School of Engineering Technology was founded. The goal of the curriculum of the Electronic Engineering Department is to further the education of students who already have a background in this field, combining theory and practical experience together. The teaching method is livelier, real life oriented, and practical.The Department of Electronic Engineering focuses on IC design and layout, semiconductor process technology and testing, and the process and testing of sensor components and fiber optics communication components.  The following have been completely rebuilt which will be a big boost to learning and research:

(1)The sensor laboratory
(2)The electronic circuit and integrated circuit laboratory
(3)The VLSI/CAD chip design laboratory
(4)The computer classroom
(5)The automatic testing and microprocessor laboratory
(6)The semiconductor process and testing laboratory, and
(7)The optoelectronics and communications laboratory.
