The program’s objective is to incubate professionals equipped with integrative knowledge of mechanical and computer aided manufacturing mechatronics and automatic control. The fields of mechanical, electrical, electronic, automatic and information technology are ccovered in the postgraduate program. offtered by the Insititute. Moreover, in accordance to the needs of professionals in Engineering Technology in Taiwan, the curricula facus on remote control, integrity mechatronic, optical and semiconductor processing , and technology management. The graduate program is designed for those who are seeking a graduate degree as well as planning to become professional engineers and technical specialists in related industries. The program integrates three fields, including mechanical electrical, electronic, automatic and information technology.

Curriculum Design

The department offers both BS and MS degrees, providing a series of courses in integrated machinery, automatic control, electrical, electronics, and information management. The students are required to write a thesis in integrated technology.

Facilities

Material Testing Labs The material curriculum is training the students acquaint with material experiment method, and judges its mechanical properties from the experiment results, and hope the students have the Expertiseattitude of mechanical engineer.

The equipments in the Material Laboratory:

1. Universal testing machine: There are 2 sets totally, one set is 10 tons, is suitable for the test of the strength of the steel material, and another set is 500 kilograms that is suitable for plastic strength test.

2. Hardness Tester: There are 4 sets totally, including Universal hardness testers, Brinell hardness testers, Micro-Vickers hardness testers, Shore hardness testers, and Rockwell hardness testers. We can choose suitable of hardness machine to test according to the characteristic of material.

3. Impact testing machine: It is used to test toughness of various different materials.

CAD/CAM LabsCNC Machine Centers:The CNC machine centers allow for starting and stopping, successive or continuous positioning of the table and tools, cutting feed, and cutting speed, the cutting 3D workpices. The CNC Machine Centers of this course intended to design NC program and operating CNC machine tools and die machining.

CNC Lathe:The CNC Lathe machines include all machine tools that produce a cylindrical form. Use CAD/CAM Software should be possible to planning stage through to final CNC Lathe machine-tool program. Plain surfaces can be obtained by supporting the work in a chuck. In addition, a CNC Lathe can be used for knurling, cutting threads, turning tapers, or 3D surface.

3D Measurement System:3D Measurement System allow for Measurement 3D shape mold, After a single unordered point data has been obtained by 3D scanner system, the next step deal with cleaning the point data and noise reduction,create wire frame,create polygon mesh.,remove bump. The key function of preprocessing is to improve the surface in ways that increase the chances for success of the CAD/CAM processes and create NURBS surface and export surface.

Computer and CAD/CAM Software:The CAD/CAM Software is used for generating works such as
3D forming. The CAD/CAM Software enables creation of the surface by vector geometry and constructing the 3D geometry, NC procedure, combined DNC/CNC systems. It should be possible to planning stage through to final NC machine-tool program.
